There are two distinct programs offered for Springfield youth baseball players, Recreation and Travel. 

The Recreation program offers youth clinics to boys and girls in Pre-K and K, as well as league play from 1st through 8th grade. These open enrollment programs are offered by the SNJBL to all eligible Springfield residents. 

Clinics groups are organized by grade and take place on Sundays. These sessions are run by experienced coaches and professionally designed to build basic baseball skills in a fun and interactive setting.

League Play teams are organized by grade and evenly formed after a player evaluation session. Volunteer coaches will oversee one weekday practice and one weekend game against other Springfield teams and possibly teams from nearby towns. Every player who registers will be placed on a team and every team makes the playoffs.
